The Woman

My family has been making wine in the Willamette Valley for over 25 years, founding and running Brick House Vineyards. Although I had experienced pieces of this industry over the years, the desire to truly be a part of it did not hit me until after my first harvest. Shortly thereafter, I fled my corporate job, and life in a cubicle, to be a part of Oregon’s wine country. After another harvest at Brick House, followed quickly by a harvest in New Zealand, I knew this was where I needed to be.

Upon returning to Oregon, my uncle offered me the chance to buy a small amount of fruit from his farm to begin making my own wine. This creative side of winemaking was intoxicating and quickly became my passion as I learned the ins and outs of nurturing the grapes.

The meaning of the word “Quaintrelle” inspires these wines. I have found that one’s journey in life, like the soil and the vines, requires cultivation along the way. It is my sincere hope that a bottle of Quaintrelle will find place at your table and bring you the type of joy I found in making it.

The Wine

From the first vintage in 2014, Quaintrelle has been a combination of Dijon 115 and Pommard clones grown according to Demeter BioDynamic standards at Brick House Vineyards. In 2018, I began to manage a small block of vines in the Northwest corner of the property to farm for this bottling.

This wine is intended to be a lighter bodied, food friendly and flirtatious expression of Pinot Noir.
